Crypto.com Visa Signature Credit Card is a US credit card with crypto rewards. It is separate from the older Crypto.com Visa Card program, which uses a prepaid or account-funded model in supported markets. That difference changes the comparison: applicants should evaluate credit approval, APR, cardholder fees and reward economics rather than top-up mechanics.

The card can pay rewards in Bitcoin or CRO. Bitcoin rates vary by Level Up tier and monthly spend band, while CRO follows a separate reward schedule. Crypto.com states that the card itself has no annual fee, but higher tiers can require a paid plan or a CRO lockup. The headline reward rate therefore is not the same as the net value of the card.

Eligibility and Approval

Current official terms require applicants to be at least 18, reside in the United States and not reside in New York. Applications are subject to credit approval and identity verification. Crypto.com offers prequalification using a soft credit inquiry, although proceeding with a full application can involve the normal underwriting steps disclosed during the application.

The card is issued by Comenity Capital Bank under a Visa USA license. It should be treated as a conventional credit obligation connected to the Crypto.com app, not as a way to spend a deposited crypto balance directly.

Bitcoin and CRO Rewards

Basic currently earns 1.5% in Bitcoin on the first $250 of qualifying monthly spend and 1% after that band. Published Bitcoin rates rise through Plus, Pro, Icy and Obsidian, reaching a 6% headline rate on the first $10,000 of qualifying monthly spend for Obsidian before falling to 2% above the band.

Those upper rates should not be read in isolation. Plus can require a subscription or a $500 CRO lockup, while the higher tiers require larger commitments under the current Level Up structure. CRO rewards use different terms and can be uncapped, so users need to choose the reward asset and calculate the tier cost against realistic monthly spend.

Fees and Credit Costs

The public product page states no annual card fee. That does not mean the account has no possible cost. APR, late-payment charges and other credit-card terms depend on the issuer agreement shown during application. Level Up subscriptions or CRO lockups can also create an economic cost that is separate from the card fee.

Foreign transaction and cash-advance details are not clear enough on the public rewards page to treat them as zero. Check the live cardholder agreement before using the card abroad or for any transaction that might be treated as a cash advance.

Who It Fits

The card is most relevant to eligible US users who want a normal revolving credit product and prefer rewards in Bitcoin or CRO. It can be easier to use for routine purchases than a prepaid crypto card because no manual card funding is required.

It is a weaker fit for anyone outside the United States, New York residents, users avoiding credit products, or applicants who would pay for a high tier without enough qualifying spend to recover the cost. Custody and platform concentration also matter because rewards and account management remain inside the Crypto.com ecosystem.

Pros

  • True credit-card structure with no manual top-up.
  • Bitcoin or CRO reward choice.
  • No annual card fee and soft-inquiry prequalification.
  • Visa Signature acceptance after approval and issuance.

Cons

  • Limited to eligible US residents outside New York.
  • Credit approval, KYC and issuer terms apply.
  • Highest Bitcoin rates require costly tiers and have monthly spend bands.
  • Public reward marketing does not replace the APR and fee disclosures in the cardholder agreement.

Bottom Line

Crypto.com Visa Signature Credit Card is useful when the goal is crypto rewards on a conventional US credit line. Its value is determined by the base reward rate, the chosen asset, realistic monthly spend and any Level Up cost. Basic may be the cleaner benchmark; paid tiers need a break-even calculation.

Compare the Crypto.com Visa Signature Credit Card, the separate Crypto.com Visa Card, Gemini Credit Card, crypto rewards credit cards and US crypto cards.

Pros

  • Good: True credit-card structure without manual card top-ups
  • Good: Bitcoin or CRO reward choice
  • Good: No annual card fee and soft-inquiry prequalification

Cons

  • Watch: Available only to eligible US applicants outside New York
  • Watch: Requires credit approval and a custodial Crypto.com relationship
  • Watch: Highest reward rates require paid tiers or substantial CRO commitments and have monthly BTC spend bands

Bottom line

Crypto.com Visa Signature Credit Card belongs on the shortlist only if its fees, regions, funding flow and KYC rules match how you plan to spend. Check the provider page before moving funds.
